Tumbling classes are designed for boys and girls who want to concentrate their efforts on the tumbling aspects of gymnastics. They are great for those aspiring to be a cheerleader, those wanting to add acro skills to dance routines or for those who just like to flip. Tumbling classes use the trampolines, Tumble track, spring floor and the foam pit.
The beginner class is designed to help build a solid foundation for tumbling skills. Tumblers will develop splits and bridges for flexibility, build upper, core and lower body strength and learn handstands, cartwheels, beginning stages of walkovers and more!
Intermediate tumblers will learn the proper techniques for springing skills such as side aerials, roundoffs, back handsprings, front handsprings and more! It is imperative that the tumblers are both strong and flexible enough to support their body weight, in order to achieve these skills. Pre-requisite: handstand hold and back walkover
In this advanced class, tumblers will learn flips including round off back handsprings, front and back tucks, layout step outs, other side aerials, front aerials and other advanced tumbling skills and combinations. Pre-requisite: side aerial, back handspring
Cheer tumbling will combine learning intermediate and advanced level tumbling with with motions and jumps.
